Dust free before trees

• The sum of $305,000 plus $16,000 for five years comes to a total of $385,000. This is what the Ruapehu District Council plan to spend on trees to plant on main roads to beautify them. What on earth is wrong with the RDC, have they gone completely mad? To even think of spending rate-payers money on something like this when they have roads in the district which are a disgrace and the dust that comes off these roads in some places is so dense it is a health hazard. Forget about wasting money on tourists all the time. We pay the rates, not them, and vve are here all the time.
