Traffic are advised to use SH 49 during this period. PURLIC MEETING Mayor Garrick Workman is organising a series of public meetings regarding an upgrading programme of the District's roading network. It is vitally important the Council receives feedback from ratepayers and residents regarding the level of interest in increasing rates to fund such a programme. At the meeting the Council will explain what could realistically be achieved by such a programme and how it is likely to affect rates. There will be three meetings in the week commencing 7 March 1 994 as follows: Waimarino Ward: Raetihi RSA Hall Monday 7 March Ohura and Taumarunui Wards: Taumarunui Memorial Hall Wednesday 9 March National Park Ward: National Park Hotel (Lounge Bar) Thursday 10 March All meetings are at 7.30pm.
