Market day popular

There was just about something for everyone at the Valentines Day Market held at Waiouru on Saturday. Miniature roses proved to be a hit, as did the Plunket Society' s candy floss stall, and at $1 a bag proved irresistible to most. Waiouru turned on fine weather and a steady stream of people browsed and bought throughout the day. The local Plunket $115 for their table, and there are sti ll proceeds from the stalls themselves to come. Jenny Mottram, treasurer for the Waiouru branch of Plunket said the money was "certainly very helpful and appreciated." She continued by saying that with the loss of midwives, further expenses fromPlunketcouldbeasked to fiil the gap.
