. After listening and reading about the Mainstreet programme, especially trying to beautify and encourage tourists to the area, I think it's a great idea. However, I personally feel (and no doubt a number of other locals feel the same) that if we are to spruce up

this area, I think it's time for all absentee landlords (ski chalet owners etc) be made to clean up their property, especially when it backs on to permanent residences. If the absentee owners can afford such luxury as a holiday home then they can afford to have some one responsible to keep lawns mowed and blackberry etc,

properly controlled.
