POLICE FILE

• Last Wednesday two women out walking near the Ohakune Carrot were accosted by a naked man, wearing a balaclava, who made indecent gestures at them. Also, a number of indecent phone calls have been reported recently. Police urge people to contact them if they have received any indecent, obscene or malicious calls, as soon as they are received. They would also like to hear from anyone who has expe-

rienced any incidents of prowling, or any acts of indecent exposure., as soon as possible after the event, no matter how minor the incident may seem. • At 2.40am Sunday morning graffiti was painted on the'walls of the Raetihi Rest Rooms. The offenders also lit a small fire inside the building, which was put out by the first person to arrive on the scene. Police would like to hear from anyone with in-

formation regarding the incident. • Overnight Saturday a HQ Holden was stolen from a George Street, Raetihi, front lawn. It was recovered just after mid-day in the Makutuku River, near the Ohura Road end. As well as water damage, the spare wheel was missing.
