Kakatahi polocrosse
The Kakatahi Polocrosse Club is holding its annual carnival at Horrocks Park, Kaiwhaiki, again this year on 5 and 6 February. The club is expecting to host at least 25 teams from all over the country again this year. The teams will be competing for trophies and sponsored prizes over the weekend. It is now 21 years since the club was formed and this year's carnival will also be a special celebration for the club. Over the years local members have made their mark on the sport by achieving New Zealand Representati ve status as well as representing the Wanganui- Wai marino team. The local members of the Kakatahi team this year are Paul Kinder and Enid Windle.
