College promotion

Ruapehu College teacher Joan Manson has been appointed assistant principal for Waverley High School. She has spent six years at Ruapehu College, coordinating the transition department and running the successful multi-studies programme. Principal Harry Cast said her skills will be missed at the college. "Our loss will certainly be Waverley 's gain," said Mr Cast. Mrs Manson's classes and programme will be taken by Peter Matheson, a New Zealander who has been teaching in Darwin.
