SITUATIONS VACANT CUSTOMER SERVICES CADET The Ruapehu District Council has a vacancy for a Customer Services Cadet and invites applications from students who have left school at the end of this year or who left school a year or two ago. The Cadet will be fuily trained in all aspects of the work carried out in the Customer Services Section. A sixth form certificate is preferred. The successful applicant will be expected to study for an approved tertiary qualification during the three years of Cadetship. Study time and financial assistance will be given. At the completion of three years the Cadet will be offered permanent employment with the Council. Youth rates are to be paid. Applicant: Turoa Ski Resort Proposal: To install a quad chair lift on the upper reaches of the Turoa Skifield on the southern slopes of Mt Ruapehu. WHANGANUI RIVER CONTROL BYLAWS 1991 Pursuant to Partlll of the Whanganui River Control Bylaws any commercial vessels and operators within the Ruapehu District are now required to be licensed. Any commercial operators domiciled within the Ruapehu District shall now make application for a licence for the year due I October 1 993 to 30 September 1994. This function was previously undertaken by the Department of Conservation. Application forms are available from the Ruapehu District Council, Manuaute Street, Taumarunui.
