Pressure to reduce packing proposed
A proposal to "reduce packaging and implement a levy system on manufacturers to fund the cost of waste disposal systems throughout the country" is being put to the Ruapehu District Council at their meeting on Friday. Councillor Weston Kirton will be asking the council to request Local Government Association support for the proposal.
