Access lane request declined by board

A request from the Ruapehu South Business Association for the council to provide access to the rear of Berry ' s Bookshop in Goldfinch Street Ohakune was declined by the Waimarino Community Board at their last meeting. The board heard that in the District Plan there was no provision or requirement obliging the council to provide access lane over the leased property and in fact that the council could direct the lessee to construct and maintain an access lane.
