Service trainer claims success

"KiwiHost in Ruapehu Is alive and up and running in our area," says programme co-ordinator Rick Kingi. Following is his report to the Ruapehu South Business Association: "The awareness of the KiwiHost programme within our area is now fast becoming a reality whereby people are now realising that service is paramount, to the extent that since my last report Serco Waiouru

have put through a number of their staff members (15). It is envisaged that the remainder (70) will also do the course. "Currently courses are being conducted in Waiouru at the Education Section within the Army Camp. This is largely because the majority of people doing the course have been from Waiouru. However should sufficient numbers be from Ohakune or Raetihi then

courses would be conducted in those areas. Unfortunately because of time this will not be possible until February 1994. "In the meantime it is planned that there will be two further courses before Christmas, the dates for these are: 1 December & 8 December at Wai ouru Education Section. "Those wishing to attend or place their staff on either

of the courses please register with Paula Marples on 3858 799. "In summary the response to KiwiHost has been overwhelming within thedistrict. "It is hoped that maximum attendance (20 per course) will cap off the year, at the moment I have 10 for 1 December and 11 for 8 December all from the Waiouru area. "Finally, certificates for

those who completed the last course have been receive, these were presented to the respective recipients at the Waiouru RSA on Thursday 2 November. "Due to my own business commitments this will be my last report until February 1994, however may I take this opportunity to wish RSBA members and their families a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year."
