Ruapehu scholars
Ruapehu College seniors Leanne Ellis-Ruru and Che Wilson (pictured with guest speaker Mona Williams J were the two top pupils for 1993. Leanne was awarded Dux while Che cleared the pool of special awards, receiving the trophy for the senior speech competition, impromptu speech, Te Whai Korero (Maori speech making), Maungarongo Trophy, Waimarino Shield, and Loftus Shield.
