Turangi Tri entries filling fast

Entry forms for the Turangi Tri on Saturday 4 December are already being distributed on the multi-sport market. Committed multisporters have been heard to say this triathlon is the most daring and scenic' race in the North Island, and they're right! The event takes competitors over and through many of the lakes, rivers, roads and mountains of the Central Plateau, starting and ending in Turangi itself. It's a spectacular course, full of scenic surprises and physical challenges. Already registrations for this popular event are flooding into the Mountains to Sea Limited office as committed multi-sporters line-up to

ensure a place in this event. This is not surprising as the Turangi Tri is limited to 80 entries due to the unique nature of the race. The event is one of only two multi-sport events which runs through the Tongariro National Park. The Department of

Conservation has lifted strict regulations regarding use of national parks to allow this to happen. This year there are places available for 50 individuals and 30 teams. Keen multi-sporters are advised to call the Mountains to Sea Limited office on 04-385-1146 for an entry form and further details.
