Organisation for the grand recommissioning of the Ohakune Railway Station Turntable on 2728 November is coming together well, according to MTRO president Bob Norling. On Saturday 27
November, Paekakariki 's Steam Incorporated will be bringing KA945 (the Crunchie Train) from Wellington, timed to arrive in Ohakune at around 4pm. The 450+ passengers will be accommodated overnight
in Ohakune and Raetihi. On the same day Auckland's Mainline Steam engine KA942 will bring 350 passengers, arriving in Ohakune at approximately 5pm. During the day a vin-
tage 'F' Class locomotive with two carriages will be available to take local people for a scenic ride to the Hapuawhenua Viaduct and back. "We hope people in the district will take the opportunity for a steam
ride and stay on for the opening ceremony and the festivities that will follow"; said Mr Norling. Negotiations are under way with New Zealand Tum to page 5
