Ohakune residents are advised to boii their drmking water, after a break in the water main between the treatment plant and reservoir wads detected on Sunday. Ruapehu District Council Services Engineer, Peter Jackson, said it is still unclear as to what cased the problem. The system is expected to be out of commission for at least seven days. A temporary repair has been made while contractors work to alleviate the problem, but residents are advised that the water currently coming into their homes is uatreated.
