Blood donors, please
The Wanganui Blood Bank hits the Waimarino today with its bi-yearly collection clinic at the Ruapehu College. Donors may make an appointment by phoning the college on 3858 398. Clinic hours are between 9am-4pm. A spokesperson for the Manawatu-Wanganui Area Health Board said that the twice-yearly collections are traditionally well-patronised by Waimarino people, particularly by local retailers who make concessions for employees to attend and donate blood. 'Regulars' include local bank staff, employees of King Country Energy and members of Ohakune Primary School's teaching contingent.
