Car dealer tops in region

Wanganui Motors dealer Dave Scott isn't a betting man ordinarily, but when there's a free trip to the Melbourne Cup on offer, it's a safe bet that he'll be

part of the action. Mr Scott won the trip in a recent promotion run by the company's regional office to sell the most vehicles in a two month period.

Mr Scott' s total of 28 failed to beat his personal best - a total of 27 vehicles sold in just one month. He and Wanganui-based salesman Tony Guthrie will be accompanied by the regional manager of Wanganui Motors on their four day visit. While the highlight of the trip may be the Cup, a close second according to Mr Scott, is the opportunity to dri ve Ford' s brand new Falcon to and from Wellington airport.
