Wish list for Waiouru
Waiouru residents are being advised to think big in the latest round of funding made available for community projects by Army Training Group. The community is being asked to consider long-term projects that may be financed through existing welfare funds. Two such sources for funding recreational and
welfare amenities exist in Waiouru Military Camp: theUnitPrivate Funds, with profits from Waiouru-based units and New Zealandwide Army Garrison Institutes, whose funds support camp welfare. The second is a special purposes fund held by the commander, ATG. Past projects to benefit from this
fund include the purchase and refurbishment of a gar-
rison church, and small oneoff projects.
