A paint job to save lives
• It's great to see that the council and Transit New Zealand are going to do something about the Raetihi Road, Clyde
Street, Miro Street intersection. But as it seems it will be some time before any action, how about a coat of paint on the "Give Way" and intersection stripes on the road surface in the mean time? With the paintwork in the badly faded state it's in, it is little wonder that some people travelling north or
south can think they are continuing along a main road. Also, the suggestion, in last week's Bulletin, that a compulsory stop would fix the problem won't work. If a Give Way sign is invisible to some people, how are they going to see a simi-lar-sized stop sign?
