Steam visit
From Page One On arrival at Ohakune there will be a welcome for all the passengers by MTRO followed by the re-commissioning of the Ohakune tum-table. The turn-table pit was filled in by New Zealand Railways in the late 1960's and it has taken MTRO two years and a great deal of effort to give a tum-table back to Ohakune which it is hoped will mean many more steam and rail excursions to the area in the future.
