Skiing for over 60's

Skiing is one of the few sports that people can truly participate in as a family. It is not uncommon to see three generations skiing together, Grandad, Mum and Dad and the kids. As medicine advances and average life expectancy extends, a

larger proportion of the New Zealand population are heading into their super sixties and beyond. That has implications for all recreational activities and skiing is no exception. As a long established and growing sport in New Zealand, the

number of super sixties still skiing is also growing. At Turoa super sixties are catered for in a number of ways - discounted passes being the most popular. All persons between sixty and seventy can buy a Season Pass at

Turoa for just $264 instead of $775. If you are still skiing the slopes at over seventy, you pay just $1 a day pass or $30 for a Season Pass. Turoa Ski School are also happy to cater for any special groups providing they are given

some waming. Bookings are the best way to organise instruction for such groups and the cost is $25 per person for two hours. For further information or bookings contact the Information Centre at Turoa Ski Resort
