Fire
The Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade attended a record three chimney fires on Saturday. Volunteers were called to an Egmont Street address shortly before 2pm, then to a Tay Street residence at 7.45pm. The final callout was to Omerai Station on the Oruakukuru Road shortly after 10pm. No damage resulted in the fires.
