Chopper trips ok
A helicopter sightseeing operation has temporary approval to operate from Thames Street, Ohakune Junction, as long as his neighbours approve. Rick Lucas Helicopters Ltd applied to run the tours from the site in July.
The council decided to approve a temporary licence so that all parties could then assess the operation. If the operator wants to then run tours in 1994, he would have to apply for a long term licence.
