Exchange students visit

A visit to Rotorua was the highlight of a four month stay in New Zealand for two Australian Rotary exchange students billeted in the Waimarino. Melinda Marsh 15, and Ben Van Der Vegt 16, both of New South Wales, gave entertaining accounts of their stay to a gathering of Rotarians at a farewell dinner staged for the pair last week. The students were presented with souvenir Tshirts and mementos to take with them when they fly home at the end of the month. Both thanked RaetihiOhakune Rotary for making the visit possible and for their contribution towards the Rotorua trip. A special thank you was made to their host families: Melinda's host parents, Yvonne and John Triggell, and Ben's family, Helen and John Hammond. Special thanks was

also extended to counsellors Neil and Margaret McLean and Lynette Price. A Rotary intemational exchange student, Cecilia

Aspenheim of Vaxtorp, Sweden, arrived in the Waimarino last week to begin a year long stay. She is being billeted by Raetihi couple Neil and Margaret McLean.
