Charity pig hunt

Forty-six members of the Waimarino Pig Hunting Club participated in a charity pig hunt in the Waimarino, Karioi and Rangataua forests last week. All pork from this hunt which has become an annual event, is given by the club to elderly members of the Waimarino Community with some 85 pieces of

pork being presented last year. Eight pigs were caught last weekend and this meat will be distributed in the near future. The club, in conjunction with the Forest owners also supply wild pork for hangi's and to approved social clubs in the Waimarino.
