Hotel faces rates sale
Raetihi's Golden Acre building, formerly the Waimarino Hotel, is under Ruapehu District Council attention. Last month the Bulletin reported that it would have to be upgraded or face demolition, and at Friday's council meeting it was made public that the property could soon be sold to offset unpaid rates. About $10,000 in rates arrears are owed on the property.
