Raetihi holidays
by Deborah Donaldson and Ei Leen Voon Holiday fever has hit Raetihi School. Everybody can't wait to jump out of the schoolwork mode and into the holiday spirit. • Rooms 11 and 12 of the junior syndicate had a Japanese lunch on Thursday of last week. The children wore dressing gowns to create a Japanese atmosphere. • Miss D Clode and Miss V Katini have now completed an 18-week course towards their teaching career. They have been training at the Wanganui Polytechnic. They are helping Rooms 10 and 9 and will receive their certificates this Friday. • Room 3 have been lucky enough to have Mrs
M Black tutoring them in art classes. So far the class has done pencil sketching in detail and perspective. The children are enjoying the free art lessons.
The Room 3 pupils have also been lucky enough to see the first performance of the Ruapehu College 1993 musical production 'Footrot Flats'.
