Ohakune reserve funds on agenda
Sixty four thousand dollars, plus interest, is left in the Ohakune Borough reserves account. The Waimarino Community Board is to discuss the matter at their meeting this Thursday, following a submission to the Ruapehu District Council by former councillor Bruce Thompson. He had asked what had happened to the fund and the projects for which the funds were earmarked. In a report to the board, the balance of reserves funds as at 30 June 1993 were put as: former; Waimarino County , Council, $39,855.31; for- j mer Ohakune Borough Council, $102,448.44; i former Raetihi Borough Council, $2582.37. Of this money, $38,000 was committed to the Main Trunk Rail Ohakune* s projects and $15,000 towards building a toilet block at Tangiwai.
