• The owner of a Miro Street residence disturbed a prowler at around 9pm on Monday 12 July. The offender jumped over the property's back fence and made off into Arawa Street. Police are investigating the incident. • The occupants of a Shannon Street residence were awoken by some one tapping on their bedroom window on Tuesday 13 July. The offender made off when the owner of the house came outside to investigate. • The owner of two dogs that attacked three youths in Ballance Street, Raetihi, last week was located by police and warned to exert greater control over his animals. • The occupant of an Egmont Street property who went to investigate outside noises last week, was greeted by the sight of a naked man. The offender, wearing a long overcoat, exposed himself to the startled woman, then ran off. • Police arrested a Raetihi youth in connection with the unlawful taking of a vehicle from a Grey Street address on Friday 16 July. The offender took the Holden Camira for a joy ride then dumped it back in Grey Street. He appeared in the Wanganui Youth Court oh Monday 19 July, charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. • Overnight Sunday 18 July, Sports Country in Clyde Street, Ohakune, was broken into. Approximately $5,000 worth of ski clothing was stolen. Police enquiries are continuing. • Police attended a minor motor vehicle accident on the evening of Wednesday 21 July on the corner of Miro and Ayr Streets, Ohakune. The driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident was transferred to the Ohakune Police Station for breath testing.

• Police attended a domestic dispute between a husband and wife in Raetihi last week. The man was taken to Wanganui with stab wounds. Police arrested the woman who was later charged with assault. • Ohakune Police and emergency services attended a motor vehicle accident involving one vehicle on Saturday 23 July. The driver of the vehicle travelling along Valley Road, south of Raetihi, failed to negotiate a bend and continued down a bank. One occupant of the vehicle was taken to Wanganui for medical treatment. Both passengers were uninjured. • Police attended a fight involving several people at the Powderkeg Inn, Ohakune Junction, at around midnight on Saturday night. As a result, patrons were asked to vacate the premises which were closed early. No arrests were made. • A black and white 10-speed racing bike was stolen from a Railway Row, Ohakune, residence sometime Saturday night. • Ohakune Police found a Holden Commodore on the Parapara Highway on Saturday that had previously been reported stolen from Wanganui. • A pair of K2 skis were stolen from outiside the Giant Cafe at Turoa Ski Resort on Sunday 25 July. Police enquiries are continuing. • Ohakune Police attended a one vehicle accident on the Ohakune Mountain Road on Sunday 25 July. The Holden Station Wagon failed to negotiate a bend in the road and collided with a tree. Four of the vehicle 's five occupants were transferred to Wanganui for medical treatment. Police were not called to a second accident on the Ohakune Mountain Road on the same day. Both accidents were attributed to icy conditions.
