Ohakune rugby high tension

by

sldeline

Ohakune/Karioi travelled to Marton to take on the first equal runners on the last game of the round on Saturday. Tension ran high throughout the game showing through Marton 's frustration at the pressure that Ohakune/Karioi put on them, though a Mario Mareikura try against a run-off play, ended up in an all-in brawl. Ohakune/Karioi were first to re-group and gained another two penalties almost immediately through Marton's lack of discipline. Ohakune/Karioi, de-

fended their line well in the last stages of the game, winning the game with a satisfying score of 26-19. An awesome game was played by the whole team. Player-of-the-day was Jason Hern. Tries by Richard Mathews one, Mario Mareikura one. Four penalties and two conversions kicked by the boot of Lachlan Harding.
