Bad badminton
Have you ever arrived at a venue to find you are a week early? This happened to a bus full of people on Friday night. All aboard the bus and off to Taumarunui they went. All waiting to see what the people from Ellerslie were going to be like at their chosen sport. The 'tour guide' assured all that the games would be good with a lot of fun thrown in. Alas they arrived to find darkness both inside and outside the gym. After a quick phone call to be told they were a week early it was off to Turangi, badminton racquets in hand. They arrived safe and sound - the air inside the bus was getting as thick as the fog outside but they soldiered on. Great games and supper were had. Back in the bus and heading for home, to top it all off they found an unwanted visitor had boarded the bus and left with the 'tour guides' tape deck.
