King Country Energy expects to get a $30,000 bond cheque back from the Department of Conservation now that work has finally been completed on the upgrading of the power supply to the Whakapapa skifield. All poles and wire
from the old line have now been taken down. Meanwhile, King Country Energy general manager Peter Till told the June board meeting that an 11 kV cable extension to a new transformer at the top of the quad chair-lift at Turoa has been livened.
