Carrot Christmas concocted
A Christimas-style festival with a local flavour is to be held at Mid Term Break. All festivities in the region will be held from Wednesday 7 July until Sunday 11 July. Retailers in the region will be joining in the mid- winter 's Christmas theme with decorated shop windows. Some of the activities being considered for the week include a rollerblade derby or demonstration, face-
painting, buskers, aerobic display, bucking bronco, carrot throwing competition, waitress and waiters race, carrot art exhibition, and carrot recipe competition. A Christmas Party to top off the week is also planned. A meeting to organise the event is to be held on Thursday 17 June at 7pm, at Beedees. Members of the Ohakune Retailer's Association, plus any other interested parties are asked to attend.
