Taumarunui beat Northern

Northern opened up the scoring in the schoolboy rugby representative clash, with a try to flanker Sean O'Connor which was; converted by Steve Hawira. Taumarunui hit straight back with a series of raids at the Northern try line, with winger Nicholas Hepi scoring in the corner. Front-rower Liam Woodnee went over for Taumarunui again, with the score now 10-7 to Northern' s full-back. Nakoma Coburn scored a well-deserved try which had Northern ahead 12-10 at halftime.
