People plink for Plunket

The first annual Plunket Games Night may not have generated tremendous revenue for the Ohakune Plunket, but if compedtor feedback is any indication, the evening was a resounding success. Twenty teams of three (and their supporters) packed into the Hobbit Restaurant on Friday

night for four hours of board, card and word games, plus a range of novelty events to add interest (as the photo testifies.) The Depart-ment of Conservation's 'Grim Greenies' - A team comprising Rob and Karen McCallum, and Angus Grimwade - took first place. Second place went to 'Fire 1', and third place to 'The Woodies'.
