What is Mainstreet
The Mainstreet programme has been de-
signed to encourage the revitalisation and promotion of town centres irrespective of their size. Through this programme, business men and women along with the council and community at large work together to improve the physical, economic and social environment of their commercial districts. Mainstreet is not just a face-lift for the area, it makes the heart healthy. It is the 'heart of the town' that traditionally gives that sense of place and sense of continuity. The rewards are lasting, improving the physical and economic situation of your town and bringing the community together.
