Last week the middle syndicate of Raetihi Primary School went on the long-awaited dinosaur trip to Discovery Place in Wellington. The children stayed at a camp in Paraparaumu and the children enjoyed
the night away from home, going to the big city. Koro, a Japanese company, was responsible for making and displaying the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs have been made as lifelike as possible from
the information that has been gathered over the years. The children of standard one, two and three classes also went to the Zoo during their Wellington visit. This week the children of standard four,
form one and form two classes will be going to see the dinosaurs and hopefully the Zoo also. The children have been studying dinosaurs and fossils as part of science studies and according to Colette Taylor "the children are working really well when it comes to the dinosaurs as that topic has really caught their attention. We only hope that they will keep up the good work for the rest of the year." About 120 children went last week and they are taking about 93 children this week.
