A good attendance was seen at the Ruapehu Hotel Social Club darts night on 27 May.

With new owners in the hotel the social club has been able to negotiate benefits for their players. Twenty players played six games for the big prize of $50 which went to one of the women players who doesn't play

darts as often as the club's old timers. Those who would like to join the club can contact Trevor, John or Barry at the hotel. Membership is $5 for the year. Results for 27 May: Tina Goff, 112, Highest Start; Steve Gray, 40, Highest Finish; Boma Rapana, 171, Highest Score. No one struck 180. The main prize went to Mina Cadwallader with 287, followed closely by Boma with 300, then Pewe with 350. The 'Big Roll of Toilet Paper' went to local 'Cookie' of the hotel and Boss, with the grand three dart score of three.
