A fine but overcast day saw £ good crowd of golfers competing in the various competitions. Results: Ladies- 1st P. Mcllroy 32 points, 2nd G. Fraser 31. Junior men: 1st J. Purcell 45 points plus Roarer's Mug; 2nd J. Pepene and J. Walker 40; 4th H. Geraghty 39 pts, M. Lloyd 38 points; 5th J. Mcllroy 37; 6th C. Heinold 37; 7th R. Clayton 36. Senior men: 1st D. Windle 40 pts; 2nd G. Allerby 4o; 3rd A. Ross 38; 4th R. Farley 36; 5th B. Kilminster and T. Frederick 35. The President's
Trophy was played at home against Rangatira with the visitors beating Waimarino by 7 1/2 to 2 1/2. Sponsors for the day were Price's Pharmacy and Berry's Bookshop.
