Masses of earth moved for this slip on the Pipiriki Road last week, closing it to heavy traffic at all hours, and all traffic during daylight ours. Area engineer Don Sattler said it would cost about $8500 to make the road passible, with work starting last week. For full repairs, motorists can expect to wait until the end of the year before tenders are let for the reconstruction.
