Super sorry
• Through your paper I convey my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused through our scanning break-down last Thursday afternoon. I realise it caused a large amount of people a long and unnecessary wait for which I am truly sorry. The problem was caused by human-error, not computer-error and once we had been told how to rectify the problem it took a whole 30seconds to overcome. Because of the breakdown we found another couple of errors in the system that we were unaware of (ie the back-up master did not have the complete file it should
have had) which we have now been able to rectify. We also now have a plan of attack should the systeht fall-over on us again. From the staff and myself we offer a sincere thanks for those of you who showed patience and understood the problems we faced, we hope it will not happen again.
