Message from Nelson

Another 'whatacoincidence' story - Marie & Robert Milne were in the Nelson area at Easter, when they called in to an orchard. The lady there asked where they were from and when told 'Ohakune', said she used to live there about 25 years ago. She and her husband John Richards still own a piece of Ohakune land. Mrs Richards told the Milnes she had visited her native Germany recently, and that she and her husband talk of visiting Ohakune often. Mr Richards taught at Rangataua and Ohakune - another coincidence as Marie has taught at both schools. Mrs Richards sent them on their way with best wishes to their old Ohakune friends, plus enough apples to put the Arahura ferry on a list to starboard!
