Seniors meet

B Y SHELLY OF RIC The Raetihi Senior Citizen Association had their monthly meeting on Wednesday 21 April in the Waimarino Club Hall and listened to a guest speaker talking about rest-homes. (There were 27 present at the meeting and two visitors came from Ohakune.) The guest speaker, Alan Armstrong from Opotiki spoke about the value of a rest-home. He also promoted his villa in Opotiki.

The afternoon which included an afternoon tea was a pleasant one enjoyed by all who attended. A raffle was won by G Peck. The Senior Citizen walking-group get together every Monday at 10am. The walkinggroup is going well and there is a good turn-out each week. The Senior Citizen Association meets every third Wednesday of each month at the Waimarino Club Hall.
