Fashion for local school
Rangataua School is to be the recipient of funds from this year's annual fashion parade, to be held at the Hot Lava Nightclub on Wednesday 5 May. Proceeds will go towards a new community adventure playground to be installed at the school. The Junction Ski Shop, Promenade and Jean City will have their new season's fashions modelled by local "lovelies", with raffles and spot prizes ongoing throughout the evening. Prizes include clothing vouchers for the best dressed man and woman, with the major prize being return tickets for two to Fiji.
Tickets are priced at $16 a single and are available from both Junction Ski Shop Promenade and Jean City clothing outlets. The price includes two complimentary glasses of wine or orange juice, supper and entertainment. This year's entertainment will be a spectacular performance by the Ruapehu College Maori Culture Group. Hot Lava will be providing ongoing dance music after the suppei which will be served al around 10pm. Part of the promotior of the event includes i free pass giveaway or Iwi FM, the local Maor: radio station.
