Easter hui From page 1 solo in the choral piecc, which is deemed the most sacred of all cultural and religious events. The religious quiz which is also considered sacred was well patronised with the introduction of a junior section. A team of four which included Alesha Makea, Marama Akapita, Katy Wallis and Matthew Graf, came second. The senior quiz team gained first place. All teams turned up in their colours for the sports day on Saturday, and so unfortunately, did the rain. In actual fact it reminded us of home. Netball, tennis, table tennis, touch and rugby were played. A Ruapehu senior men's team won the rugby section. Joe and Aisea, our Fijian rugby players who were part of the team displayed some very entertaining rugby. They also took part in the senior men's haka which had the audience absolutely rapt. It was AWESOME. Sunday morning Koro Taranaki showed himself with a dusting of snow which we were all waiting to see. We returned . home on Easter Monday with the runners-up title for the overall competition.
