• Owners of four Ohakune chalets arrived during the Easter break to find their homes burgled. Police enquiries are continuing into the incidents. • Ohakune Police are investigating the burglary of a Karioi Station Road address during Easter weekend. The incident occurred while the owners were on holiday. • A 22-year old Auckland man was assaulted on his way home from the Powderkeg Inn at the Ohakune Junction, on Saturday 10 April at around 7pm. • Overnight Saturday 10 April Ohakune Tyres and Energy Centre was broken into. Offenders gained entry by smashing a plate glass window. Several loaves of bread were taken. • Overnight Sunday 11 April a Duncan Street, Raetihi address was broken into. A Toyota Corolla car was stolen from the same address. The car was later recovered stuck in sand on the riverbed of the Makotuku River behind Webb's Motors.
