Rest-home shop
by
Shelly of RIC
The Waimarino Resthome Shop in Seddon Street Raetihi is run by volunteers in order to raise money for the Waimarino Rest-home which is to be built in Raetihi. The volunteers are mainly pensioners and the items they sell are mostly donated by people who no longer need them. They sell knicknacs, ornaments, books and so on. If you want to see what they are offering call into the shop between 10am and 3pm. The organisers and volunteers are pleased with the way things are selling and are thankful to the people who have donated them. Avenues are being explored for bulk funding but they are not sure whether or not anything will come of it yet.
