Support for anti-crime
Ruapehu's mayor, Garrick Workman, has received replies from 35 mayors from around the country to his call for support for a campaign against juvenile crime. Mr Workman is seeking
solutions to the community problem which may include changes to the Children and Young Person 's Act which, he feels, limits the powers of the Police to deal with young offenders.
