public notices / KING COUNTRY N ENERGY ▼ Piriaka Power Station Resource Consent Application Working Party King Country Energy has decided to apply for a new resource consent for its Piriaka Power Station. While the board had until the year 2000 to apply . for a consent underthe Resource Management Act, it believes everybody's best interests will be served by applying for a consent for the station and its operation as soon as possible. To facilitate this process, the board has decided to form a working party to consider the issues and options and make recommendations to the board. (The final decision on the form of the consent application will be made by the board). Nominations are invited from persons or organisations who would like to serve on such a working party in a voluntary capacity. While it is not intended to restrict the size of the working party, for expediency sake it may prove better for organisations to nominate one representative, so as to avoid duplicated submissions.
