Obituary correction
BY DAVIDOFRIC Several errors were made in the obituary of Arthur Berridge published last week, which this reporter would now like to correct and apologise for. The Wanganui referred to in the article as his birthplace was Manganui Northland. As to his business in Raetihi, the electrical shop was originally Palmer' s and Arthur bought this concern in 1971.
Arthur was president of the RSA of Ohakune, not Raetihi as originally stated and his efforts in fundraising for the Squash Club primarily consisted of a large initial donation to the organisation. He is survived by his wife, Betty and eight sons and five daughters. Once again, this reporter apologises for any inconvenience or upset caused by these errors.
